The Fairview Mall Tutoring Academy offers assistance in English to both elementary and secondary school students.

These wide-ranging programs include but are not limited to increasing proficiency in the areas of:

• Reading
• Writing
• Vocabulary
• Spelling
• Grammar

Each student completes an evaluation designed to identify strengths and areas of need in his or her English-language development. A customized program is then designed that is based on this evaluation.  The aim is to facilitate proficiency in problematic areas while maintaining and increasing strengths in areas in which they are most capable and confident.

In addition to the program that has been established for the student during the school year priority is given to school topics. These would include but are not limited to essays, presentations and literary analysis of novels and plays. Grade 10 students will also receive preparation support for the Literacy Test (OSSLT) if required.

Students are taught by highly qualified teachers who focus on developing excellent academic skills in an environment characterized by positive and engaging tutor-student interactions.
